Before and After: Editing My Street Photography

Before The Edits

The original photo straight from the camera.

May have issues like poor lighting, uneven exposure, dull colors, or distractions in the frame.

Often lacks the final polish needed for professional or artistic presentation.

During The Process

Enhanced lighting, contrast, and colors to make the image more vibrant or true to life.

Cropping and composition adjustments to improve focus and remove distractions.

Retouching to remove blemishes, dust spots, or unwanted elements.

Advanced edits, such as adding artistic effects, sharpening details, or creating a specific mood or tone.

Example Workflow:

  1. Basic Adjustments: Exposure, contrast, white balance, and cropping.
  2. Color Grading: Adjust tones for aesthetic consistency (e.g., warm, cool, moody).
  3. Retouching: Skin smoothing, object removal, or sharpening etc...
  4. Artistic Edits: Add vignettes, filters, masks or other stylistic effects.
